If I could eat, live and breathe weddings 24/7 I would.  Who am I kidding... I already do!!  My passion and drive for beautifully planned events comes from the smiles on my clients' faces when they see their vision come together.  It comes from the groom seeing his beautiful bride walking towards him.  It comes from the bride's father getting the first of his daughter looking all grown up in her white wedding dress.  It comes from catching a glimpse of the couple sneaking an intimate moment at the head table ... the groom gently kissing his bride's shoulder.. oh the butterflies I get!

God Bless the Broken Road....

Real Wedding:
Ceyda Biceroglu & Leon Punambolam, October 11, 2008
This song so perfectly describes the journey that Ceyda & Leon have taken. This journey's ending played out on a gorgeous October day, at the beautiful St. Louis Roman Catholic Church in Waterloo, Ontario. Or really should I say, the journey began.

Ceyda & Leon were a pleasure to work with. Throughout the planning process, I had the honour of getting to know Ceyda and what a beautiful person she is. I think I have made a friend for life.

A couple that has always enjoyed the company of friends and family, celebrated their special day in that same manner. Music, laughter, friends & family. Ceyda & Leon wouldn't have it any other way. The night included a surprise performance by these masked men to the sounds of Michael Jackson's Thriller! Well done boys! Very entertaining!

I just wanted to say thank you to Ceyda & Leon for letting me be a part of their special day. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! Congratulations!!!

When you just know.....

Real Wedding: Didi and Ryan, March 28, 2009

For the last few months, I had the pleasure of planning & co-ordinating the wedding of Didi Lemus & Ryan Stubbs. The wedding took place at Highview Community Church in Kitchener, Ontario. The reception followed later that evening at the Italian Cortina Club.

When people say you "just know", that could not be more true of this couple. Right from their first date, it was obvious they had a spiritual connection.

In the company of lots of family and friends, the happy couple celebrated the beginning of their journey together. With the MC for the evening being the pastor performing the ceremony and the man who introduced them in the first place, things had come full circle.

I just wanted to say Congratulations and thank you to Ryan & Didi for letting me be a part of their journey. Helping them plan their special day was very enjoyable and fulfilliing as I was able to see it come together. Thank you again!!!

Colin Cowie's Tips

I have always been motivated by the creativity of Colin Cowie. His fresh and inspiring ideas really act as a starting point to a beautiful creation. While browsing his website I found his Tips for creating ambience at a party and would like to share that article with you!
For more information visit:

Welcoming Candles

I always try to keep a lot of candles on hand. They’re warm and welcoming, and they send an immediate message to your guests: You’re at the party now, you’re out of the harsh daylight and the fluorescent buzz of the office. It’s time to sit back, relax, and have some fun.

I like to use fragrant candles for the bathroom. (Don’t use them in the dining room; they may clash with food and wine aromas, and you don’t want your Château Margaux smelling like gardenias!)

I love the thick, square box candles: They’re inexpensive, available at many housewares stores, and long-lasting. They also provide beautiful color accents and sculptural elements for any table arrangement.

I particularly like dimming the lights and placing candles in the entry space to any apartment or house.

It’s the first thing the guests see when they arrive, and it helps them downshift into party gear immediately.

Creating the right ambiance is key to getting the party started!!!
