Romantic Wedding Inspiration

I absolutely love love love when I "connect" with a client right from the very first meeting.  This was the case when I met my couple on July 5th to talk about their upcoming August wedding.

Michelle & Steve were such a great couple to talk to and it was so very obvious that they are very much in love.  After only meeting the bride twice now... I feel like I've known her forever!

We are constantly "on the same page" and we had a fabulous working meeting today that left us both very excited about her upcoming wedding.  That's exactly what my role is for this special day - to take the stress and pressure away.  You should be able to relax and enjoy the time leading up to your wedding.  Not be worried that things aren't going to come together.

Plain and simple - Peace of mind.

Hockley Valley in Orangeville is the beautiful backdrop for Steven & Michelle's romantic wedding celebrations next month and I can't wait!

Here is some ~ inspiration ~ that I put together after my one meeting with Michelle!

Vintage Tannery Wedding - Part Two

The Vintage Tannery Wedding - Heidi & Chris get married!

~ May 14, 2011 ~

At the quaint & rustic Grist Mill in Waterloo Park, Heidi & Chris began their beautiful wedding celebration, surrounded by their family and a few friends.  It didn't matter that the rain was pretty much non-stop throughout the day.......... it didn't put a damper on a single thing!

They were an absolutely fabulous couple to work with!  Heidi's unique, vintage taste made the day so much more memorable!  Talking with Chris during the planning process it was obvious to see, that he couldn't wait to marry this girl!

I had the pleasure of working with Taylor Jackson Photography as well as Brian Wiebe Photography!  Talent, talent, talent!!!

Great music, great food, delicious dessert... what more could you ask for!!

Stay tuned for images from the pros!

~ Happy Planning! ~

Royal Wedding Countdown!!!!

Everything is about the Royal Wedding!!!  I love it!

William & Kate have captured the hearts and attention of so many people and they will all be watching come Friday as they begin their journey together.

Second in line to the throne - Prince William has grown up in the public eye and now will be moving on to the next stage of his life in the same fashion.

Which wedding designer Kate chose to create her gown will be a focal point for many women!  Including me!

The "Princess -to-be's" fashion sense has created a following of sorts... for example her blue Issa dress in which she announced her engagement to Prince William, sold out within hours of the images being released!  Wow!

I know where I will be come Friday morning - do you?  If you are still looking for someplace to enjoy the wedding of the century, check out the following for some options!

Here is how the day will unfold on the small screen!

Friday, April 29

CTV’s William and Kate: The Royal Wedding starts at 3 a.m., with hosts Lloyd Robertson and, from Buckingham Palace, Lisa LaFlamme, alongside royal biographer Christopher Warwick, royal expert Victoria Arbiter and comedian Tracey Ullman (simulcast on CP24, CTV News Network and at

Global’s Wills & Kate: The Royal Wedding starts at 4 a.m. with Global National’s Dawna Friesen and ET Canada’s Cheryl Hickey.

Heather Hiscock kicks things off at 2 a.m. on CBC and CBC News Network. Peter Mansbridge will join two hours before the 6 a.m. wedding ceremony.

BBC Canada and E! have live coverage as well, both beginning at 4 a.m.

After the rice is thrown, Marilyn Denis hosts her own reception with Scott Thompson as QEII (CTV, 10 a.m.). LaFlamme and the rest of the royal wedding broadcast team are back with live hits from London, highlights and post-wedding updates (CTV, noon to 3 p.m.; 7 to 9 p.m.)

E! dissects the day (and maybe some ill-advised hat choices?) in Will and Kate: Road to the Altar (9 p.m.) and Fashion Police: Royal Wedding (10 p.m.).

For anyone who didn’t get up before the crack of dawn to watch Kate walk down the aisle, BBC Canada is re-airing the big event, starting at 10 a.m. William and Kate: The Movie and A Tale of Two Princesses follow (4 p.m. and 6 p.m.).

Happily Ever After

Every wedding has a unique story to go with it.  Nuptuals are made that much more special when the couple has made a long and painful journey to get to the altar.  Brings new meaning to the words "in sickness and in health".

From one of my fave Wedding Blogs, Style Me Pretty, this story out of New Jersey really pulled at the heart strings.

An inspiring story of true love, this couple has overcome so much to be with each other.   Susan & Todd were finally married under a chuppah elegantly decorated with candles and crystals.

Be sure to click this link to see more of Susan & Todd's special wedding day.

Also have a peek at the amazing videography work of Fiore Films.  They have captured this couple's story so perfectly!

RSVP to the Party!

Last month I had the pleasure of meeting newly engaged couple Cheryl & Jared. From this one meeting...I quickly found out that these two know how to have fun!

Their big day is going to be nothing but that!

Surrounded by lots of friends and family, Cheryl & Jared will be exchanging their "I Do's" at The Concordia Club in Kitchener, Ontario.

Shades of purple & black along with the couple's love of music, will be the backdrop for this special day.

Excited to be a part of this!   Here is a little inspiration for this special day!

Roller Coaster Engagement Video

Now more than ever, newly engaged couples are coming up with unique ways to announce their upcoming wedding.
Check out this "Save-the-Date" video that we came across that we think is just an awesome way to announce your special day!!!!

This Roller Coaster Engagement video was shot entirely on the Twister II Roller Coaster at Elitch Gardens in Denver Colorado. The bride and groom sent the link to their friends and family as a "Save the Date" invitation. The bride rode the T2 coaster 7 times and the groom rode it 6 times to capture enough footage to make this video.

Go ahead, Get Creative!!!!
Make your special day memorable!!!

Vintage Inspired Celebration

I had the opportunity to meet with Shelley Inglis of Shell Design Weddings earlier this week.  She's getting married!!!!!!!!
Now Style & Elegance Wedding and Event Coordination has the honour of being the Lead Planner on her big day!!!!

Being a Certified Wedding Planner herself, Shelley is already well on her way with regards to the planning, given the short amount of time that she has to work with.  This lady knows what she wants!!!!
This small intimate affair will be celebrated at one of the newer locations in the city of Kitchener...The Tannery District

Having worked at this venue before, I know that it perfectly compliments the style of wedding Shelley & Greg are intending on having.

With her unique Vintage style and Venue, this wedding celebration will prove to be a memorable one!
Going over all the details of her special day, Shelley and I quickly found ourselves on the same page!

I can't wait to be a part of her celebrations!  Lots and lots of details to take care of......and that is my specialty!

Congratulations Shelley & Greg!  Looking forward to your big day!

Real Wedding:
Ceyda Biceroglu & Leon Punambolam, October 11, 2008
This song so perfectly describes the journey that Ceyda & Leon have taken. This journey's ending played out on a gorgeous October day, at the beautiful St. Louis Roman Catholic Church in Waterloo, Ontario. Or really should I say, the journey began.

Ceyda & Leon were a pleasure to work with. Throughout the planning process, I had the honour of getting to know Ceyda and what a beautiful person she is. I think I have made a friend for life.

A couple that has always enjoyed the company of friends and family, celebrated their special day in that same manner. Music, laughter, friends & family. Ceyda & Leon wouldn't have it any other way. The night included a surprise performance by these masked men to the sounds of Michael Jackson's Thriller! Well done boys! Very entertaining!

I just wanted to say thank you to Ceyda & Leon for letting me be a part of their special day. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! Congratulations!!!

When you just know.....

Real Wedding: Didi and Ryan, March 28, 2009

For the last few months, I had the pleasure of planning & co-ordinating the wedding of Didi Lemus & Ryan Stubbs. The wedding took place at Highview Community Church in Kitchener, Ontario. The reception followed later that evening at the Italian Cortina Club.

When people say you "just know", that could not be more true of this couple. Right from their first date, it was obvious they had a spiritual connection.

In the company of lots of family and friends, the happy couple celebrated the beginning of their journey together. With the MC for the evening being the pastor performing the ceremony and the man who introduced them in the first place, things had come full circle.

I just wanted to say Congratulations and thank you to Ryan & Didi for letting me be a part of their journey. Helping them plan their special day was very enjoyable and fulfilliing as I was able to see it come together. Thank you again!!!
