The Royal Wedding - A New Age of Royals

It's been a busy couple weeks!  The anticipation of those Royal Wedding photos had everyone in the wedding industry on the edge of their seats!  Myself included!

What an absolutely fabulous day!  The perfect end to the fairytale. Well, really it's the beginning isn't it! Prince William and Kate Middleton, known from now on as the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge, were a picture of poise and, well,...Royalty!

Prince William and Catherine Middleton exchanged vows on Friday April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London England, with billions watching.  Myself included!  Up in the wee hours of the morning with my daughter, we watched a prince & princess begin their lives together.  I hope that she will remember this moment with me as she grows up.

We have all watched Prince William grow up right in front of our eyes.  All of us can see the kind of man that he has become and we can also see how much he is like his mother.  I became emotional as the car taking Prince William and his brother Prince Harry was heading to the Abbey.  All I could think of was how much Diana is being missed on this special day.  She would have been so proud.

Enduring their own ups and downs throughout their relationship, William and Kate knew they were perfect for each other....they fell in love.  What could be more romantic?

Here are some images from the day that will inspire many modern couples in planning their wedding day.   Stay tuned for blogs on the "details" from the wedding of the century!

In the words of a timeless princess ...

.... "so this is love..."

NY Bridal Market - Ines Di Santo

There were so many gorgeous designs that walked the runways in New York over the weekend it was hard to pick an absolute favourite.

Instead I have chosen a few of each of the designers that really caught my eye.

In particular designer Ines Di Santo's sophisticated and luxurious creations stood out.

Have a look at some of the 2012 collection!

~ enjoy!! ~

NY Bridal Market - Reem Acra

I had the chance to watch the designs of Reem Acra stroll the runway streaming live courtesy of The Knot!  Wish I could have been there myself!

Romance, ruffles & embellishments was the theme of the collection labelled

"You can be a Princess too".

This designer's love for luxurious fabrics, unique textures and handmade elements shines through in her creations.  She aims to combine her appreciation of the traditional & classic with modern fashion.

Bringing glamour & sophistication to your special moments, Reem Acra's European style allows you to be that "princess" on one of the happiest days of your life.  Here are some of the designs that debuted at Bridal Market!

~ enjoy! ~
